Logan Wampler

Logan Joseph Wampler, 20, of Geuda Springs, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home.

Born January 6, 1999 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Mike and Tammy (Lowry) Wampler. He was raised and received his early education in Winfield and moved to Andover with his family in 2009. In 2014, Logan moved with his father to Austin, Texas, where he attended Vandegrift High School, graduating in 2017. While in high school, he ran cross-country and track and was a four-year varsity letterman on the soccer team, receiving all league and all district honors. His senior year, he was named MVP of the school soccer team. Following high school, he attended Allen Community College in Iola, Kansas on a soccer scholarship. Logan also enjoyed playing disc golf, fishing, and going four-wheeling in Colorado. He was a member of Geuda Springs Community Church.

His family includes his father Mike Wampler and wife, Francie of Georgetown, TX; his mother Tammy Stover and husband, Greg of Geuda Springs; his brother Brandon Wampler of Kansas City, MO; his step-sister Sadie Eastman of Edmond, OK; his step-brother Austin Eastman and wife, Kairee of Rose Hill; his paternal grandmother Phyllis Hearn of Winfield; his special cousin Abbey (Lowry) Elliott; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Logan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ron and Dianna Lowry, and his paternal grandfather Jamie Wampler, and paternal step grandfather Norman Hearn.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time.
