Winifred Kinslow

Winifred “Winnie” Kinslow, 100, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

Graveside services have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pastor Ryan Whitley will officiate.
Winnie was born November 27, 1918, in Ashton, KS. Growing up she attended rural schools near Ashton and Geuda Springs.
On June 15, 1936, she married Melvin “Pooch” White. The couple made their home in Arkansas City. He preceded her in death in 1963. Winnie later married Kenneth Kinslow on January 18, 1965, in Arkansas City where the couple made their home. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Winnie spent the majority of her time managing and taking care of her rental properties around Arkansas City. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Edward White and wife Sue of Leon, KS; two grandchildren Billi Jene Teague of Austin, TX; Douglas Teague and wife Tammy of Smithville, TX; three great-grandchildren Ryan, Justin, and Hannah Teague; six step-grandchildren Jeff Bailey, Thomas Bailey, Donnie Bailey, Mark Bailey, Julianna Deardorf-Campbell, Michael Teague; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
Winnie was preceded in death by her two husbands, daughters Gaylene Teague, Kathleen White, and two step-grandchildren Jana Bailey and Mike Bailey.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory.
