Wayne Earl Brown, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Wellington Health and Rehab in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 64.
Wayne was born the son of Earl and Earleen (McMillin) Brown on Thursday, January 6, 1955 in Wellington, Kansas. He graduated from Wellington High School and joined the US Army Reserves. Wayne was employed in the hotel and healthcare industries where he provided facility maintenance.
Survivors include his parents, Earl and Earleen Brown of Wellington, Kansas; daughter, Natasha Brown of Horton, Kansas; son, Brooks Brown of Sabetha, Kansas; son, Connor Higgins of Wellington, Kansas, grandchildren: Lorena Torres, Serena Brown, Karsen Cole, Kaden Cole, Airiana Brown, Sierra Brown, Zoe Brown, Kemper Brown, Lucian Brown; brother, Rick Brown (Debic) of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Linda Vaughan (Scott) of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Connie Ozbun of Arkansas City, Kansas and sister-in-law, Margie Brown of Wellington, Kansas and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Brown.
Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019.
Funeral services for Wayne will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the chapel of Cornejo|Day Funeral Home, Wellington, Kansas.
A private interment will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be given to the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation. All funds will be used to assist the family with the funeral expenses. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
