KHP: Wellington Woman Escapes Rollover With Just Minor Injuries, Was Wearing Seat Belt

A Wellington woman suffered only minor injuries Friday afternoon after she lost control of her vehicle, hit a guard rail and overturned.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 18 year-old Piper Fisher was the driver of a 1999 Chevy Suburban traveling eastbound on U.S. 160 at mile marker 301 — or just west of Oxford Road. Fisher was transported to Sumner Community Hospital in Wellington via a private vehicle.

KHP’s report says Fisher was wearing her seat belt. No other vehicles were involved.
