Champion Market Wheat Show Entries For The Cowley County Fair Open July 22

Entries for the 2019 Champion Market Wheat Show at the Cowley County Fair will be received on Monday, July 22, between 9 a.m. and noon, according to fair officials.

Bring combine run samples of wheat to the show arena at the fairgrounds during this time for your exhibit to be eligible for the $465 in premiums to be awarded. Each exhibit shall consist of a minimum of 10 pounds of COMBINE RUN WHEAT.

If the fairgrounds are not open yet, entry will be at the Lions Pavilion in Island Park (across from the performance venue).

“We know this has been a tough year for everyone to get the wheat harvested,” officials stated. “But hope to see many of you with your wheat samples on Monday morning, July 22, and maybe you’ll take home the trophy sponsored by Blankenship Seed of Udall and/or some of the prize money.”

Entry forms are available at the local grain elevators, in the Open Class Premium Guide, or by calling 620-229-3827. They will also be available on Monday morning, July 22.
