Legacy Regional Community Foundation has announced a teacher mini-grant, which will use a Request for Proposal (RFP) process to provide teacher mini-grants to teachers in public schools in Cowley County.

According to a press release from the foundation, these mini-grants are supported by a gift from Mike Harvey in celebration of 25 years of Family Wealth Management.

His goal is to enrich, enhance and support teachers in Cowley County schools, the release says.

The grants are offered to teachers as a means of encouraging innovative classroom projects and providing for basic classroom needs. Grants for projects to be completed during the current school year will be awarded in amounts up to $100. The total amount of funds available is $2,500.

“The Foundation is committed to creating a stronger, healthier and more prosperous future for our area by growing area philanthropic and nonprofit efforts, connecting donors with critical needs in our community, instilling informed leadership and building endowments,” the release said. “This commitment includes supporting those that educate our children.”
