According to a website operated by Team Architecture, LLC, out of Andover, the bond will pay for improved parking and bus loading, the remodeling of the existing elementary school building, and a building addition to the elementary school building that will include a permanent home for Pre-K and kindergarten classes inside a safe room designed to accommodate the entire student, faculty and staff population.

The bond also includes administrative offices for the district, a new entrance to serve as the campus entrance, a connecting link to the high school building to secure the academic functions of the district, and a remodeling of the existing auditorium building.

On the state constitution amendment question that asked to eliminate the state’s census adjustment, Cowley County voted in favor 60 percent to 39 percent.
