Two Men Arrested On Theft, Drug Charges In Rural Cowley County

Two men were arrested Monday in rural Cowley County on various charges that included theft, drug possession and criminal possession of a firearm.

According to a news release from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon, the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at the residence of 37-year-old  Jacob Cole Nettrouer at 17698 271st Road in Cambridge.

Cambridge is just east of Burden in Cowley County on U.S. 160.

During the search warrant several items of stolen property were located along with marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Nettrouer was taken into custody and booked into the Cowley County Jail on the following charges: Theft of Property, Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Cultivation of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Nettrouer’s bond was set at $39,000.

Also arrested was 39-year-old Rexo L. Mackey, who was arrested on the scene for Theft of Property. His bond is set at $2,000.

As a result of this investigation, two burglary cases and two theft cases have been cleared with property being returned to the rightful owners.
