Ark City Manager Nick Hernandez has accepted the same job in Dodge City.
Dodge City Clerk Connie Marquez told KSOK-NewsCow Tuesday Hernandez signed papers making it official at a city commission meeting in Dodge City Monday.
Marquez said his start date in Dodge City will be June 1, 2020.
Ark City Public Information Officer Andrew Lawson stated late Tuesday morning in an email response to KSOK-NewsCow about Hernandez that, “The City of Arkansas City has no comment on this matter at this time.”
Hernandez was hired as the city manager for Ark City in 2011.
Prior to that, he was the city manager for Osage City.
