Cowley Women For Kansas To Discuss Resources For Victims Of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Assault

Women for Kansas – Cowley County will discuss resources for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault during their January meeting, according to a news release from the organization Thursday.

The meeting will be Jan. 11 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the City Hall Community Council Room at 200 E 9th Ave. in Winfield. The event is free and open to the public.

The meeting will feature Kami Dobbs, the Cowley and Sumner Counties Supervisor for the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center, who will outline resources for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the area.

These critical resources are provided to both Cowley and Sumner county residents by the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center and the Wichita Family Crisis Center.

“I’m happy to host Kami Dobbs for our first meetup of the new year as I feel many in our community are not aware of the resources that her group here in Winfield and Sumner counties provide for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence and stalking,” stated Pam Moreno, W4K—CC leader.

Women for Kansas—Cowley County holds regular meetings on the second Saturday of each month. All are welcome. For more information about this event or Women for Kansas—Cowley County in general, contact Moreno at 620-262-2326 or via email pam.moreno@sbcglobal.net.
