An Oklahoma man was struck and killed east of Wellington early Tuesday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 48-year-old Joseph Edward Franklin Darling of Atoka, Okla., was a pedestrian on U.S. 160 at approximately 6:20 a.m. when he was struck by an eastbound 1993 Chevy Cavalier driven by 65-year-old Rickie Joe William.
William had no apparent injuries and was wearing his seatbelt.
