Authorities Search For Robbery Suspect In Winfield

Authorities continue to search for a man suspected of robbing Graves Drug in Winfield.

Police were called to Graves around the noon hour Tuesday and continue the search the area as of 3 p.m.

A text alert from authorities said police were looking for a white male with an orange mask and black hoodie in the area of Graves at 905 Main St. Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If this man is seen, police say to call 911 and to not approach.

An employee of Graves told KSOK-NewsCow the man was asking for medication and then fled. No injuries were reported.

Scanner traffic indicated the man fled to an alley behind the drugstore.

Police have searched various locations in the area and initially focused on the alley behind Hunter’s Cafe at 1020 Manning St. Later, there was a temporary police presence at the intersection of 8th and Menor at Community Health Center in Cowley County.
