Two Wichita Men Arrested In Ark City With Over Two Pounds Of Meth, $14K In Cash

The Arkansas City Police Department arrested two Wichita men Saturday on drug and related charges after a traffic stop in west-central Ark City, according to a news release from the ACPD.

Items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and prescription narcotics were located inside the vehicle. Also seized were approximately 2.62 pounds of methamphetamine and $14,164 in U.S. currency.

Bradlee Louis Ohle, 26, was arrested on suspicion of one felony count each of no drug tax stamp, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school; two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance; and one misdemeanor count each of driving with a suspended driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to and booked into the county jail on a bond of $150,000 bond through Ark City district court. Ohle remained in custody at the time of this release.

Santonio Kahlil Markham, 28, was arrested on suspicion of one misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield on a bond of $2,000 bond through Cowley County District Court in Ark City.

Markham since has posted bond and been released from custody.

An officer observed a driver committing a traffic infraction Saturday and conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of West Poplar Avenue, located about two blocks east of Adams Elementary School.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ohle and his front passenger was identified as Markham.

The officer observed alleged illegal activity occurring inside the vehicle and conducted a search.
