Best Western Patterson Park Inn

Best Western Plus Patterson Park Inn in north Ark City is up for sale, company officials said in a statement today.

Wichita-based Hospitality Management LLC also announced Friday that hotel general manager, Sara Williams, has accepted a promotion within the company and will be leaving the hotel.

The company said the hotel will be placed on the market for sale.

The Martens Companies, parent company to Hospitality Management LLC, designed and developed the hotel, which opened in June 2014.

President Steve Martens said the Patterson Park Inn has been a great property and appreciates his time in Arkansas City.

“We have seen great success in Ark City,” Martens said, “and we have enjoyed our time in the community. Sara has built an amazing team and her hard work has given the hotel a top reputation in both the market and the greater Best Western brand.”

Williams has accepted a position as the general manager at another of the company’s properties, the Best Western Plus Norman. Williams is looking forward to the challenge and opportunity of a larger hotel.

She said choosing to leave team at the Patterson Park Inn was a difficult decision to make.

“I deeply treasure my time spent in Arkansas City and will be forever grateful for the amazing support from Cowley County and its residents, businesses and organizations,” Williams said.

Assistant General Manager, Juliana Barragan, will be taking over as general manager of the Patterson Park Inn. The hotel has received numerous awards including: four M.K. Guertin Awards, four Best Western Champion Customer Service Awards, been named best hotel in the Best of Cowley County Reader’s Choice Awards for multiple years and been inducted into the Southwestern College Business Hall of Fame.
