Jill Long has resigned from her position on the Cowley College Board of Trustees. Board president Bob Juden had unexpectedly submitted his resignation from the board at a meeting Monday.
A school spokesperson, contacted by KSOK NewsCow, confirmed Long had resigned Tuesday. Her current term was to expire in 2024. Juden had been elected to serve until 2022.
Both departures were said to be unexpected.
In November, Long had been the leading vote-getter in the general election to earn her first full term on the board. She had previously been appointed to fulfill an unexpired term.
Long did not immediately respond to requests for comment on this story.
