Dollar General will close its Ark City store on North Summit sometime in early summer, a manager of the store said Thursday.
Brittany Westhoff made the announcement on Facebook Wednesday and said mark downs will begin April 30. The store should close permanently at some point in June she told KSOK-NewsCow by phone.
Westhoff said leasing of the building and overall sales were issues the store had faced. Ark City Dollar General is located at 2411 N. Summit.
Westhoff expects more information to be released in the coming weeks.
“At this point we know we’re closing,” she said. “We don’t know exactly how all that will happen, right now.”
