An Ark City man was seriously injured early Thursday morning in a motorcycle accident north of Ark City, according to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept.
65-year-old Michael Kronmiller was first transported to an Ark City hospital before being transferred by air ambulance to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. Family tells NewsCow that the man has stabilized and is recovering.
He suffered multiple broken bones, including a skull fracture.
Around 7:40 a.m. Thursday, Kronmiller was riding a black 2004 Yamaha motorcycle in the northbound lanes of U.S. 77 highway when he struck a deer. Radio traffic from the scene indicated the bike caught fire.
