Stolen Camper Found Hooked To Stolen Vehicle; CCSO Assist Belle Plaine PD In Chase

A stolen travel trailer was found hooked to a stolen vehicle, according to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office Friday.

Thursday morning, sheriff deputies were contacted about a stolen travel trailer from the 16000 block of U.S. 77.

The victim, Virgil Dennet, reported that his camper had been stolen. Deputies were able to track the vehicle.

Jonathan Coy and William Burk were arrested in connection. It was also found that the two individuals were in a vehicle that had been reported stolen from the Ark City area.

Both were taken to the Cowley County Jail.

CCSO Assists In Chase

Friday’s report also said the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Belle Plaine Police Department in a chase involving a Chevy Blazer for a traffic violation.

The vehicle was stopped in the 3000 block of 152nd road.

Angela Wilson was arrested and transported to Sumner County jail.

The vehicle was removed by Express Recovery.

Three children were released to a parent/guardian.
