A survey for proposed shoulder widening on U.S. 160 Highway in Sumner County is scheduled to begin around Sept. 8 and be completed by Dec. 31, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation Tuesday.
The survey will occur on U.S. 160 from just east of I-35 east to the west city limits of Oxford. The approximate length of the survey is 9 miles.
The survey, being done for KDOT, is based on existing alignment.
A member of the survey crew will contact property owners and/or tenants for permission to enter private property.
Survey activities will include use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features in the survey corridor.
