UPDATE: Two Winfield Residents Involved In Highway Sprayer Accident

The names of the individuals involved in an accident last week that involved an SUV and an agricultural boom sprayer north of Stother Field on U.S. 77 have been released by the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the CCSO Activity Report, Craig Pringle, 36, of Winfield, was the operator of a John Deere sprayer that was traveling southbound on U.S. 77 when a 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by 46-year-old Tracy Tapia, also of Winfield, struck the back end of the sprayer.

The accident happened near the 23000 block of U.S. 77.

Tapia was transported to South Central Kansas Medical Center for injuries.
