Five stolen vehicles were discovered Sunday in rural Cowley County, the Sheriff’s Dept. said Wednesday. They were removed from the property where they were located.
An investigation began when an individual reported they discovered their stolen vehicle in the 20000 block of 151st Rd. Deputies responded and made contact with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been stolen several months ago and they were told where to look for it.
Upon checking the VIN of the vehicle, it was verified as the stolen vehicle in question.
Contact was made with the landowner, Donald Keith Andes, who gave consent to law enforcement to check all other vehicles on the property.
Four other vehicles were discovered stolen from Wichita, Winfield and Collinsville, Okla. All owners were notified, and the vehicles were removed from the property. Further investigation is being conducted at this time, sheriff’s investigators said.
No arrests were made.
