Two Stolen Vehicles Recovered By Local Authorities Monday; Three Men Arrested

Local authorities recovered two stolen vehicles Monday, according to Tuesday’s activity report released by the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office.

The first vehicle was recovered in the 100 block of E. 13th. in Winfield at approximately 6:36 p.m.

Winfield police also arrested Trey Moore with three outstanding warrants. Moore was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, a 2014 Dodge Journey, by the Cowley County Sheriff’s Department. Brandon Drum was arrested for probation violation warrant and transported to the Cowley County Jail.

Drug related items were in the vehicle and collected for evidence.

The vehicle was released to the registered owner.

A second stolen vehicle was recovered following a traffic stop in the 29000 block of U.S. 77 by Ark City police officers at 6:40 p.m.

Jason Hess was arrested by the ACPD for drug-related charges and the sheriff’s office had a report for theft of motor vehicle that occurred in Lakeshore drive, a 2017 GMC
2500 pickup, driven by Hess.

The vehicle was released to the owner.
