Winfield USD 465 will resume in-person instruction on Jan. 19.
The school board voted 6-1 Monday night for the change. The district had been fully remote learning since the end of November.
Remote instruction is still an option for students — especially for those students who had already been enrolled by their parents/guardians in remote-only instruction.

Monday, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported 2,962 total cases for Cowley County since March.
Cowley County Public Health Officer Thomas Langer said this week deaths in the county attributed to the virus number 53 and that he expects that number to increase.
Statewide, Kansas has recorded 247,502 cases since the pandemic began and 3,255 deaths so far. Nationally, COVID deaths have exceeded 375,000 and continue to rise.
