Strother Field Airport To Receive $150K FAA Grant For Apron Work

Strother Field’s airport will be receiving more federal funding, according to U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran.

Kansas airports are getting $18 million in Federal Aviation Administration grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The grants are a part of a nationwide effort by the FAA.

Strother Field will be receiving $149,400 for apron work.

“Local airports help bring economic opportunities and critical resources to communities across Kansas,” Moran said in his news release. “It is vital for Kansans to have efficient ways to reach and connect with the rest of the world, and these grants are an investment into the future of our rural airports.”

In March, Strother Field’s airport was announced as a recipient of $13,000 in federal COVID-19 relief monies to aid in sanitation efforts.

· Anthony Municipal Airport: $150,000

· Augusta Municipal Airport: $685,000

· Augusta Municipal Airport: $406,000

· Blosser Municipal Airport: $283,500

· Clay Center Municipal Airport: $328,500

· Coffeyville Municipal Airport: $600,000
