The Ark City High School Concert Band represented Cowley County well recently at the University of Central Missouri Virtual Concert Band Festival, according to a news release from USD 470 Public Relations Director Alisha Call.
This event was for select bands from around the country, according to the news release Wednesday.
ACHS received “1” ratings (the best) from all four judges.
“The credit goes to the individual students that worked hard during the remote setting,” ACHS Band Director Chris VanGilder said. “That allowed us to put together a quality performance in only a handful of full band rehearsals.”
