UPDATE: AC Woman Involved In Friday Collision Cited For Running Traffic Light

An Ark City woman involved in an accident in downtown Ark City Friday has been cited for running a traffic light.

According to a news release Wednesday from the Arkansas City Police Department, officers were dispatched at 3:45 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and North Summit Street for a report of an injury accident.

They made contact with both of the drivers involved.

Daiana Lisbeth Lugo Perez, 26, was cited for disobeying a traffic control device through Ark City Municipal Court.

Two juveniles were in the vehicle Perez struck.

All the individuals involved were transported by the Ark City Fire-EMS Department to SCK Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

A woman was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in downtown Ark City.

The accident happened at the intersection of S. Summit and Chestnut.

One woman was transported from the scene via ambulance in stable condition to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Ark City Fire-EMS and Ark City police responded to the scene and thru traffic in the area of the accident was blocked for a short time.
