Ark City Residents East Of Walnut River Should Expect Lower Water Pressures Thursday

Arkansas City residents east of the Walnut River can expect reductions in pressure for at least a couple of hours Thursday due to water system maintenance, according to a news release from the City of Ark City Wednesday.

The water pressure reduction is due to needed maintenance at the East Chestnut Booster Station, which pumps water across the East Chestnut Avenue bridge to customers in the eastern part of town.

Lower pressures should occur mainly between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Further updates will be provided as necessary.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary maintenance might cause to our residents,” said Environmental Services Superintendent Rod Philo.
