A Shidler man was injured and several cattle were injured or killed in an accident Tuesday approximately seven miles east of Ark City.
According to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, deputies were dispatched at 11 a.m. Tuesday to the 22000 block of 282nd Road for an injury accident.
A white 2000 Peterbuilt Semi Truck, belonging to Drummond Ranches and driven by 54-year-old Delwood Garrison of Shidler, Oklahoma, was involved.
Garrison was traveling south at a curve and met an oncoming vehicle.
Garrison went off of the road and partially into a ditch where the truck and trailer rolled onto its side. Garrison received unknown injuries and was transported to the SCK Health.
Several cattle were injured or died of injuries due to the accident.
