Ark City Man Arrested In Connection With Multiple Drug Charges

The Arkansas City Police Department arrested an Ark City man late Thursday night in connection with multiple counts of possession of various drugs.

According to a news release from the ACPD, Dylan Demirol David, 20, was arrested on suspicion of one felony count each of no drug tax stamp, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of school and use of a communication device to arrange a drug sale.

He also was arrested on suspicion of one misdemeanor count each of consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawfully obtaining a prescription-only drug.

David was transported to and booked into the Cowley County Jail in Winfield on a bond of $23,300 through Cowley County District Court in Ark City.

He remained in custody at the time of this release.

Officers were dispatched about 8:24 p.m. Thursday for a report of possible drug activity at Windsor Court Apartments, located at 305 E. Windsor Road in northeast Ark City.

The report included a description of a vehicle known to police from previous calls at that location.

When they arrived, officers contacted a man sitting in the driver’s seat, later identified as David.

While speaking with David, they observed alleged criminal activity inside the vehicle, which was searched. Police located numerous illegal substances and also items associated with their sale.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at David’s residence at 510 North A St. More illegal substances and items associated with their sale were discovered at this additional location.
