With help from the Lion’s Club, members of Cowley College’s Academic Civic Engagement through Service (ACES) program recently painted at Lions Park in Ark City.

According to James Fry, coordinator of the ACES program, this project was the first of the semester for the ACES organization.

“The crew was great,” Fry said. “They jumped in and made fast work of it.”

The ACES program involves active participants in the local community, selflessly giving of their time and talents. The program emphasizes learning through life experience, providing students with an opportunity to test skills learned outside the classroom setting. At the same time, providing an invaluable service to the community.
