Featuring the students of Lindsay Allen and Nick Albrecht, Cowley College hosted its fall vocal recital Tuesday in the Earle N. Wright Community Room, according to a press release.

The recital consisted of choir students who took voice lessons throughout the fall semester. The recital allowed the students’ individual voices to be heard.

“The students did a wonderful job at the voice recital,” director of vocal music Lindsay Allen said. “It’s a nerve-racking thing to get up in front of people to sing and they all did an exceptional job of working through their nerves to give the audience an enjoyable evening.”

Students that performed during the recital were Braden Hilario, Hannah Gray, Sarah Gerber, Carol Blagg, Elise Brewer, RiQuandrion Mangum, Hope Burgar, Skyla Dean, Lexi Rogers, Emily Smith, Kylee Jackson, Rebekah Crisp, Zane Butler, Timmy Remington, Madilynn Sanderholm, Xavier Huffman, and Kathrynne Giger.

Music instructor Stephen Butler served as a collaborative musician during the recital.

“I would like to give a special thank you to Stephen for the amazing collaboration he did with the students during the performance,” Allen said.

The students will now gear up to join the CC Singers, Jazz Band, and Jazz Ensembles to perform the Candlelight Vespers concert on Sunday, December 5 at 2 p.m. inside the Robert Brown Theatre. There is no cost to attend and the community is invited.
