The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies in the surrounding area are warning of a recent increase in burglaries and thefts.
A reminder to keep your property safe and secure was made online via the sheriff’s dept. Facebook page. Among those incidents are the thefts of catalytic converters from area vehicles.
Such thefts have increased overall in recent years and new instances have been reported in the past few days.
You are reminded to remove all valuables from your vehicles and lock your home and outbuilding to deter break-ins. You can report burglary, theft and other crimes by calling the sheriff’s department at 620 221-5444.
