A Colorado caller’s confusion caused a bit of an issue for Cowley County deputies Tuesday evening, according to a report.
Around 6:15 p.m., deputies responded to 71st and 96th roads for the report of a sheriff’s pick up that was said to be parked on the side of the road and unoccupied. Deputies searched that area but found nothing that matched that report.
A supervisor made contact with the reporting party and quickly determined the caller was in Crowley County, Colo. and not Cowley County, Kan.
