A Winfield woman was arrested late Wednesday following an incident in rural Cowley County.
Around 9:10 p.m. the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. responded to a burglary in progress reported in the 10000 block of 82nd Rd. 28-year-old Brittany L. Weber was arrested and booked into the Cowley County Jail on charges of criminal trespass and theft.
She remained in custody on Thursday.

A 44-year-old man was arrested Wednesday when deputies investigated the report of a vehicle blocking field access in the 29000 block of 11th Rd. The report was received around 7:30 p.m.
Jarod Wiens was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
He has since posted bond and been released.
