Resurfacing Project Set For Section Of 177 From South Haven South To State Line

Resurfacing will begin soon on a 3.5-mile section of U.S. 177 in Sumner County.

The Kansas Department of Transportation project involves a mill and hot-mix-asphalt overlay on U.S. 177 from the Kansas/Oklahoma state line to the U.S. 81 south junction at South Haven.

During the work, expected to begin around May 16 and be completed around June 13, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should expect to stop and face delays of up to 15 minutes.

Cornejo & Sons, of Wichita, is the primary contractor for the $656,064 project.
