Cowley County Sheriff: Traffic Stops Net Four Arrests On Sunday

Two local men were arrested late Sunday when the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. stopped a vehicle on U.S. 160 east of Winfield.

Around 10:32 p.m., a vehicle was pulled over in the 12000 block of 160. 

The driver, 23-year-old Warren Howe, Wichita, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond Monday and was released.

A passenger, 40-year-old Jason Grisham, Wichita, was arrested and booked on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia, possession, criminal use of a weapon and transporting an open container. He remained in the Cowley County Jail Wednesday.

A Winfield man was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop in the 14000 block of U.S. 160.

The driver, Jacob Jamieson, 22, was arrested and booked on charges of DUI, TOC and no proof of insurance. He has since bonded out.

The stop happened just after midnight.

Around 8:40 p.m. Sunday, an Oxford man was arrested after a traffic stop near Winfield.

28-year-old Kevin Bain was pulled over in the 8000 block of 182nd Rd. Sheriff’s deputies had been looking into a driving complaint that happened in the area of 33rd Ave. and H.H. Constant Rd.

Bain was arrested for DUI and driving while suspended. He has since posted bond and been released.
