The Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating a stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning.
Around 3 a.m., deputies were called to South Central Kansas Medical Center for the report of a stabbing injury. There has been no update on the condition of that person.
Then around 3:45 a.m., deputies were called to the 27000 block of 85th Court, northeast of Ark City, for the report of a possible shooting. Further investigation led to the determination that it was not a shooting but rather the location where the stabbing had occurred.
