Winfield Woman Arrested After Fleeing From Police On Sunday

Police in Winfield arrested a local woman Sunday after a brief pursuit.

42-year-old Laura L. Kendall-Miller was arrested and booked into the Cowley County Jail on charges of violation of protective order, criminal trespass, flee and elude and obstructing apprehension. She remained in jail Tuesday, according to online inmate records.

After attempting to flee, Kendall-Miller was apprehended in the 300 block of E. K-15 Highway in Udall. She was in jail previously as recently as April of this year.

On Monday, Winfield Police arrested 40-year-old Nicholas A. Wright on charges of abuse of a child and interference with law enforcement. This occurred in the 2000 block of Wheat Rd.

Wright has since posted bond and been released from the Cowley County Jail.
