Recent Local Law Enforcement Activity

The following are recent arrests made by law enforcement in Cowley County.

Diego Perez-Hernandez, 18, was arrested Sunday afternoon. Around 3 p.m. that day, the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. were dispatched to 31st and 282nd Rds. for a single vehicle non-injury accident and grass fire.

Perez-Hernandez was arrested on a fish and game warrant out of Lamb County, Texas. Earlier this year, he was charged with taking certain wildlife without the consent of the landowner. 

He remains in the Cowley County Jail on a hold for the out of state warrant.

Around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 20000 block of 151st Rd. for a disturbance. Seth Rhodes, 43, was later arrested on three warrants in Winfield.

He remains in custody.

At 8:35 p.m. Sunday, Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy checked on a vehicle in the 15000

blk of 112th Rd and driver, Kristina Henman, 58, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She has since posted bond and been released from jail.

At 10:11 a.m. Monday, Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy served an arrest warrant for Kimberly Hays, 47, in the 400 blk of East 12th Winfield. She has since bonded out.

Around 3 p.m. Monday, Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy served an arrest warrant for Lonnie Brooks Jr., 21, in the 1600 blk of Fowler Winfield. He has posted bond.

At 10:45 p.m. Monday, Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 11000 block of 132nd Rd. to assist EMS with a medical call. Kevin True, 38, was arrested on a felony probation violation warrant out of Pittsburg, Ks.

He remains in the Cowley County Jail.

WINFIELD POLICE

Kenneth Fraley, 63, of Winfield was arrested for driving while suspended, no proof of insurance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of West 15th Avenue. He has since bonded out.

Jacob Kelley, 25, of Winfield was arrested for a warrant in the 1000 block of Main Street. He remains in custody.

Gerald Thompson, 48, of Winfield was arrested for criminal threat against law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, and harassment by telecommunications device in the 700 block of Andrews Street. He remains in custody.

Jason Volk, 37, of Winfield was arrested for a warrant in the 200 block of East 9th Avenue. He remains in custody.
