The city of Winfield is providing pick up and removal of water damaged materials beginning today.
City wide sweeps were scheduled for today and Thursday. Another sweep will be made Friday, if necessary. Citizens are asked to separate water damaged materials from their regular trash.
Water damaged items should be put at the curb for pick up. Household trash will be picked up at regular times. Flood damaged materials can included carpet, padding, furniture, chairs, couches, bagged clothing and bagged papers goods.
Daily household trash will not be picked up. If you are unable to meet a the deadline for one of the city sweeps you can have your materials picked up by appointment beginning Monday. A request for service can be made by calling 221-5600 from 7 a.m. To 4 p.m.
