Local teacher is education group’s new pres.

Winfield High School teacher Justin Hogan has been named president-elect of the Kansas Industrial Education Association. Hogan also serves on the board of directors of Kansas Association of Career and Technical Educators.

At WHS, Hogan teaches architecture drafting and design classes along with advanced AutoCAD, and Automotive for Everyone.

Hogan also serves as the coordinator of the career and technical education programs for USD 465, overseeing courses that generate more than $200,000 in additional state funds because of the higher costs of offering those classes.

In 2005, Hogan was selected as the Kansas Industrial Education Young Teacher of the Year.
