School district hosting a reception for Goff

A public reception honoring Floyd Goff’s 12 years of service to the Winfield school district will be held Monday. Goff joined the school board in July 1995 and served until Dec. 2007.

The event is set for 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Winfield High School cafeteria. Refreshments will be served and the middle school orchestra will be playing during the reception. The reception will be held prior to the regularly scheduled school board meeting.

Goff left the board in December after having won a new four-year term earlier in the year. The Rev. Kevin Hopkins replaced him.
