A man who stole a pickup from McDonald’s and crashed into the entrance to Island Park in January pleaded guilty to two felonies and one misdemeanor count of theft.
David B. Fendley, 36, Winfield was originally charged with auto theft, auto burglary, criminal damage, driving under the influence, illegal U-turn, running two red lights, speeding, eluding police, no valid driver’s license and obstructing justice.
He pled guilty to the two felonies – fleeing police and driving under the influence – Feb. 19 in District Court in Winfield. A pre-sentence investigation is being conducted. Sentencing is 1:30 p.m. April 21.
