An Arkansas City woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing a man in the neck and striking him on the head with a candle in a glass holder, Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace said.
Officers were dispatched to 1524 N. Sixth St. to investigate a 911 hang-up call. They discovered a domestic disturbance had occurred and the injured man had left the residence. He was later located at a friend’s house.
The victim, whose name was not released. was treated in the emergency room at South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center and later released. Tammy May White 49, was arrested for aggravated battery. She was being held on $5,000 bond.
