Charges have been filed against three Winfield teens in connection with a fire Oct. 27 that destroyed the castle playground at Island Park in Winfield.
The names of the suspects will not be released until the summons have been served and the teens notified when to appear in Cowley County District Court in Winfield, Chief Clerk Marilyn Leith said Thursday afternoon.
City officials said earlier in the investigation that a 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of arson and a second 17-year-old make was arrested for suspicion of obstructing the legal process.
A 15-year-old girl was also arrested for obstructing justice. All three were released to the custody of their parents.
