A 15-year-old Winfield girl charged with obstructing justice in connection with a fire that destroyed the Island Park playground made her first court appearance last week. The case against Christie Chaisson was continued until Dec. 10th.
Zachary Buhlke, 17, who is charged with arson in connection with the same fire Oct. 27, is scheduled to make his second court appearance Wednesday.
Bret Martinez, 17, charged with obstructing justice, is also scheduled to appear in Cowley County District Court in Winfield Dec. 10th.
City crews and volunteers were able to clear the debris and open the Ise of Lights on time. It is open daily.
