Snow starts falling; roads are becoming slick

A winter weather advisory is in effect with two to four inches of snow likely by 6 p.m. Strong north winds of around 30 miles an hour can be expected, with gusts to around 40 miles an hour that will cause blowing and drifting snow.

By mid morning area law enforcement officers were beginning to report roads becoming slick.

Roads in the northern part of the county said roads were being covered by snow as fast as they were being cleared.
