Forecast turning cold; light snow is possible

Hope you enjoyed Thursday’s respite from winter because you may not enjoy another one for a while.

The cold air is back and the forecast sprinkled with unpopular words like "drizzle" and "freezing" and "sleet."

Not much you can do except try to remember what you did with your gloves and move the heavy coat to the front of the closet again.

Here goes. There is a slight chance of light snow across central Kansas early this evening with the possibility of light, freezing drizzle across portions of south central Kansas. There is another chance for freezing drizzle or sleet across south central Kansas Sunday night through Tuesday.

Firefighters – the grassland fire danger is expected to climb into the very high category today across much of south central Kansas and the southern Flint Hills. A high fire danger is expected across the rest of the area today.
