The 2010 edition of the Cowley Cup has been suspended due to inclement weather and heavy lightning.
The game Friday night was interrupted – and the bleachers and field at Richard L. Jantz Stadium in Winfield were emptied – at the 4:48 mark of the fourth quarter. Winfield is leading Ark City 19-7.
School athletic officials are hoping to finish the game tonight, weather permitting.
