Cowley County is included in a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service that is in effect from midnight tonight through 6 a.m. Friday.
Snow is expected to begin falling early on Thursday with the heaviest accumulation coming later that day. Between 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected, with the highest snowfall totals expected in central and south central Kansas.
Travel is expected to be affected by the weather conditions and caution is advised.
